Ryan is a director from Wicklow.
He attended The National Film School, IADT and graduated with Honours with a major in screenwriting and minor in direction. “POST/LOVE”, a graduation film he co-wrote, went on to screen in DICFF, Fastnet Film Festival, CAMERAimage, CIFF, KIFF and NFFTY where it was awarded the Audience Award.
After graduation, he began work on “The Last Duel” (dir. Ridley Scott) and continued to work within the Irish Film and Television industry in both narrative and unscripted productions.
He has a desire to explore the cerebral element of the human condition by weaving between the internal and external self through vivid, stylistic and symbolic visuals.
With a heavy involvement in music, he has collaborated with many rising Irish bands , with names such as NERVES, CABL, Bucket, BBFT, Bold Love, Scustin, Naked Lungs, The Love Buzz and Tung in Cheek.
